Some Zencare therapists have an out-of-network cost estimate on their profile. This fee range estimates how much therapy will cost after you receive out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance company.

Here’s how therapy-seekers can use Zencare to estimate the cost of therapy after out-of-network reimbursement:

Step 1: Find a provider with the “Check cost estimate” button on their profile within search results.

Step 2: Click on “Check cost estimate” button, and you'll be prompted to enter your insurance information.

Step 3: View results on the form and then click the "See Updated Cost Estmates" button.

Step 4: From there, your unique results will be indicated on the provider profile.

Note: Results estimate your coverage after your deductible is met. To learn what your deductible is and how much has been fulfilled to date, reach out to the provider.

Step 5: Contact the therapist to request a more detailed cost estimate.

Note: The estimate you receive from the therapist will include deductible information – what your full deductible is, how much you’ve already paid, and when you’ll likely be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement.

Step 6: Confirm the coverage with your insurance company.

Eligibility checks do not guarantee coverage, and the out-of-network fees listed on the Zencare site are estimated costs. We recommend calling your insurance company to confirm your out-of-network benefits and out-of-pocket costs.

Step 7: Schedule the appointment!

Step 8: Submit for out-of-network reimbursement.

After the first session, you can use the Reimbursify app to quickly request that your insurance company reimburse you for the session.
